IRON MAIDEN Remember tomorrow

Remember Tomorrow is Iron Maiden's first low-mid tempo ballad ever released. It appears on their debut album, Iron Maiden. The song is credited to both Steve Harris and Paul Di'Anno, former vocalist of Iron Maiden. According to Di'Anno, this song is a tribute to his grandfather. He would often say "always remember tomorrow," hence the name.

Lyrics:

Unchain the colours, before my eyes,

Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.

Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,

I shall return from out of fire.

Tears for rememberance, and tears for joy,

tears for somebody and this lonely boy.

Out in the maddness, the all-seeing eye,

flickers above us to light up the sky.

Unchain the colours, before my eyes,

Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.

Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,

I shall return from out of fire.
